Summer Vacation Getaway

I am so very very excited that we have our summer vacation adventure planned!! A sweet friend told me about this place, she loves it and knew I would too~

We are going to the beautiful BullHill_Logo_Small

Bull Hill horse barn

This gorgeous slice of heaven is located in Kettle Falls, northeastern Washington State, and sits at the foothills of the majestic Rocky Mountains near British Columbia, Canada. Sweeping panoramic views of neighboring Idaho, Lake Roosevelt and Canada provide a backdrop setting that is one of the most picturesque in the Pacific Northwest. It was voted #1 horseback riding escape in the northwest!

“Opened in 1995, Bull Hill Guest Ranch is part of a large working cattle ranch that dates back to 1903. Rich in history and tradition, the ranch today has become a favored destination for families, corporate retreats and the outdoor adventurer who is looking for authentic western living amidst the tall pines and cedars. It is especially noted for its fly fishing and horseback riding.”

We are taking our horses and headed out to do a cattle drive, I cant wait!!!

and I plan on sitting my butt down with a magazine and a cold drink right in these chairs…..

Bull Hill Lake

And maybe a little of this as well…. (Hopefully cowboys included:)

They have the most gorgeous sleeping accommodations from these glam tents

Bull Hill Tents cabins

to these charming cabins (power and running water!!! no need to rough it!!)

Bull Hill Cabin

I truly cannot wait for this adventure!!!

Just loved your site which I found by accident as I search for, of all things, a travel trailer for our retirement in ten years!!! Have nephew and family in Seattle (Sequamish Indians) and will share at next family reunion. We live in South florida with family in CAL, FL, NY, Al and who the hell knows where else, but I really enjoyed your site and will recommend to my daughter if she ever finds that right guy. Many thank for a lovely pictural.

I was just up there a few days ago to photograph the first 200 head of cattle arriving and moving the 70+ horses up the mountain. What an experience. You are in for a treat…

You will be in my neck of the woods. Sounds wonderful. You once told me that if I was in your area again to give you a call…I’ll say the same. If you want to go into ‘town’ someday it would be fun to meet for coffee.
