pho·tog·ra·pher

a person who loves to capture images

pro·fes·sion·al pho·tog·ra·pher

a person for hire who intimately knows the technical aspects of  photographic equipment and post processing , can deliver a high quality, dimensional image in any given situation and loves to capture images

ob·sessed pho·tog·ra·pher

a person who can do all the aforementioned above, plus invariably sees life through a lens, daydreaming incessantly of a world where one lives in constant artistic bliss

After a little self reflection on the definitions above, I am definitely #3. I daydream daily about living in a state of artistic bliss, a whimsical, magical photographical world. I think it only natural that my roots as a mixed media artist come into play with my love of photography. I have always seen photographs as an extension of my art, and creating notebooks filled with inspiration and mood boards to help draw on ideas of my whimsy was a great way to incorporate mixed media into my everyday photography. Here is what is inspiring me right now…..

Do you have a muse? Do you dream of flights of fancy?? Do you induldge your thoughts ever? Isn’t it wonderful when we do?

Hey T! I still need to plan that fun photo shoot we dreamed about with the bed in the fields. Maybe when life slows down a little we can plan to make magic happen. :) XOXO,Jenn
P.S. That’s awesome you are evolving as a photographer. You’ve come A LONG way and growing everyday. Stay inspired!!!

I’d love to see more of your mood boards…I bet they would bring as much inspiration to those of us who are challenged in that area as your gorgeous photos do. Lately most of my inspiration comes from looking outside my studio window at my growing garden. We’ve had such lovely rainfall this year that the garden blooms are simply amazing!
