oh donna, it took me a long time to get over my phobia of sewing as well, I decided I was just going to go for it, even though I dont havemad skills! Donna Hurlbut - March 4, 2010 - 5:00 am
Your dress is brilliant! No one would ever guess where the parts came from. Putting it all together and making something wearable is a real gift. I have a sewing phobia that I am wrestling with, so I am in awe! Judy - March 4, 2010 - 12:50 am
LOVE it! I can’t help but think about the parody of “Gone with the Wind” from the Carol Burnett show years ago where Scarlett makes a dress from the curtains in the plantation. Except in the Carol Burnett version, she left the curtain rod on and it went over her shoulders. You’re probably too young, but it was a hoot. You can use curtains for couture anytime, I’d say. And making your husband giggle is priceless, too! kristin - March 3, 2010 - 7:47 am
okay…seriously…i just drooled all over my computer!! oh.my.goodness.girl!! that is ever so fabulous and i’m thinking i need one for here on the prairie!! although i’m thinking the white wouldn’t last to long truckin’ through the muddy corrals…sigh…i can still dream can’t i?? jeanne - March 2, 2010 - 8:31 am

Simply smashing… what a gorgeous masterpiece. I hope you have a wonderful week. Tami - February 28, 2010 - 6:27 pm
Well, if you think about it…any dress starts out as something as simple as a bolt of fabric…and anyway…wasn’t it Scarlett O’Hare who started the trend of dress-making out of ‘curtains’ the chic thing to do? I…think your dress is just beautiful..:-) Michelle - February 28, 2010 - 6:13 pm

Hi wanda! Gianna - February 11, 2010 - 1:38 pm
I simply think those flowers are wonderful….. maybe they would be happy to see Italy: have they never been there???? As to my husband… what can I say? He doesn’t even know where flowers are sold!!!!!! Wanda - February 11, 2010 - 1:23 pm
I think it would be a little hard for him to get me flowers this year…seeing that he’s in Iraq. So..yes, I would love to get some flowers. Gina - February 11, 2010 - 1:14 pm
I can pretty much guarantee he will not be getting me flowers since we are tightening our belts this year. Diana Thompson - February 11, 2010 - 12:53 pm
Those flowers are beautiful!! I would love to have some “fresh” flowers!! I am pretty sure that the husband is not getting any for me this year!! The Brocantess - February 11, 2010 - 12:22 pm
These are gorgeous! You did an amazing job with the composition and with no boyfriend this year, these will give me something to pop in and look at on V Day:) Wendy - February 11, 2010 - 12:22 pm

Hello Tiffany, Jill Sibbald - February 11, 2010 - 12:01 pm
Tiffany – this are the most beautiful prints I’ve seen. The colors are so soft and gentle. Anyone would love being blessed with such a fine prize in their home. Thank you for the opportunity ! Brittany - February 11, 2010 - 12:01 pm
My boyfriend really isn’t the flower giving type, so flowers from anyone would be a wonderful change. |
