I can relate to this post so well. My guys are going to be gone for 3 days on a camping trip this month and I will be all ALONE!!! Ha- ha! I will buy some of that food out of a box (including ice cream) and I will craft and blog and watch chick flicks and… I’ll probably fit some tresure hunting in there some where too!

I think that as moms we work so hard and are told so many times it’s OUR JOB that we feel guilty whenever we treat ourselves. In actuality we should pamper ourselves more than anyone else cause our job is so hard! Enjoy!

I used to freak when my dear hubby left on trips….now I look forward to them…..I get to feel like I have NOT a care in the world. Then, right before he returns, I run around like a mad woman cleaning and acting like I did something. I guess the guilt comes from the fact that he leaves and works and I feel like what I’m doing is PLAYING….lol. Whatever it is, enjoy it and make him a great meal and “special night” when he returns…..he won’t CARE WHAT YOU DID while he was away….ba haaaaaa….at least that is how my husband is wired.

I really enjoy reading your blog! I so agree with you. My 13 year old just went back to school, miss him but….. All women need ME time, it’s the only way we can stay human.

My favorite things … – the comforter on your bed coz it matches “our” sheets!, the vanity and black and white things in your bathroom and picture of you and sweet Natasha? in there…, and THEE CRAFT ROOM… — UHHH… I LOVE EVERYTHING in your craftroom! I’m giddy just lookin at the picture! BUT BY FAR… THE CHAIR… is my ultra favorite thing in that room. WHAT A COOLBEANS CHAIR. I have one very much like it but the casters are missing, and it’s all oak. I think it needs a pink paintjob. OHHHH YEAH…. ! THANKS FOR THE SWEET INSPIRATION!

Very pretty! Your craft room is fabulous – I can see how you would be inspired to create when you have such surroundings. I really like that you showed your daughter’s messy room. Mine daughter’s is exactly like that! I try not to hound her too much since it’s upstairs and only her invited guests usually see it. Apparently her friends understand and don’t care. I care. I just shut the door so I won’t think about it. You’ve decorated your home beautifully. I really like your Halloween decor.

LOL If I lived closer I would come help you finish up the trim, I promise! (My finish nail gun is so easy to use—hooked up to a tiny little air compressor…we’d be done in a day. But you would have to buy, prime and paint the trim…wait. Maybe what I’m offering is the easy part, huh?)
